Mike Casano is a drummer, writer, producer, educator and DJ based in the Boston area. A 2000 graduate of Berklee College of Music, Mike's versatile style and reliable groove enables him to perform with great artists like Keegan-Michael Key, Uzo Aduba, The Drifters, Randy Brecker, Victor Wooten, Mike Mainieri, George Garzone, Ellis Hall, Debo Ray, Mark Egan, GQ & The Lady, Brass Force, Frank Tiberi, Grover & CGI, New England Philharmonic and Mike & Joe's Big Band, which he co-leads with his father, trumpeter Joe Casano. Mike has opened for Brandi Carlile, Blood Sweat & Tears and comedian Steve Sweeney. In his Modern Drummer Legends book, Steve Smith called Mike "an excellent drummer". Mike is also a full-service DJ and emcee, with experience providing entertainment for all occasions.

       Mike was featured in DRUM! magazine and has written articles for Modern Drummer magazine. He wrote and released a book called Rolls In Time and also provides instructional content through his Barn Drummer™ website. Mike also leads and writes music for original projects such as My Key C and Mike Casano Fusion. Mike co-wrote the theme songs for the Ronnie Mund Block Party (Howard Stern) and the Planet Mikey Show (WEEI Boston sports radio/podcast). Mike has extensive experience teaching private and group lessons, percussion ensembles, marching band drumlines, jazz rhythm section clinics and master classes.
