Mike has been working with the great singer/songwriter Debo Ray!

The band played to a sold out crowd at The Burren in Somerville, MA for Debo's album release party and has been slaying audiences all over the Boston area! Mike played with the Dennis Hughes Quartet in 2025 featuring legendary bassist Mark Egan at the General Stanton Inn Jazz Festival in Charlestown, RI.

​

Mike served as a DJ and emcee for a number of great events this past year, including middle school dances, road races, an 80's party, Halloween party, weddings, a 50th anniversary party, and a bunch of stand up comedy shows!

Mike met his all time favorite actor Bill Murray in Newport, RI after a gig in July 2022! Then in November 2022, he got to see drumming legend Dave Weckl perform a great drum clinic up close at the Drum Center of Portsmouth, NH.

Mike led a stellar group of musicians for a great gig on Dec 7, 2022 at the Spire Center in Plymouth, MA as part of their lobby jazz series! The band featured the legendary George Garzone on sax, Jay Azzolina on guitar and David Zinno on bass.

It's a raw and in your face live gig recording pulling no punches and featuring a smokin lineup of unbelievable players:

Mike wrote two songs for this project, "Juneson's Ravin' Beauty"

and the latin flavored "Mije". The album also features songs by John Coltrane, Tony Williams, Thelonious Monk and John Patitucci.

Mike & Joe's Big Band featured the legendary vibraphonist Mike Mainieri live in concert in October 2019, burning on classic Steps Ahead tunes such as "Beirut", "Trains" and "Safari". They were also joined by saxophonist George Garzone for Mainieri's original song "Dee Minor". It was an epic night of music to be sure!

In September 2018, Mike & Joe's Big Band produced a hugely successful show featuring the legendary trumpeter Randy Brecker. The band was smokin', all night and delivered a top notch, high energy show to a theater packed full with enthusiastic music fans! The group hit especially high notes on the songs "Straphangin" and "Sponge" from the Brecker Brothers songbook, and they also played a spirited rendition of Randy's original tune "Shanghigh".

Mike has been working with rapper Grover (Howard Stern Show) and his band Grover & CGI since 2007. The band has released numerous videos on YouTube and they were featured on the Howard Stern News several times. The group wrote and played on the theme song for the Ronnie Mund Block Party, which was played at events all over the country, including Las Vegas. They also did the theme song for the Planet Mikey Show on sports radio in the New England area.
